COPS Dream Comes To Life For 93-Year-Old

Everyone has that one TV show that is their ultimate favorite, right?

You know, the one that puts you in 'superfan' status and probably annoys your family and friends because you can't stop talking about it.

Well, for 93-year-old Simone Dumont, of Augusta, Maine, that show is COPS.

Simone's daughter, Anne says her mom is ALWAYS talking about the show. In a Facebook post, she said:

"Mom loves to watch the show Cops. She goes on about how the police have the worse job and what they have to deal with ..... and she wondered what it was like to be arrested and sit in the back seat."

So, that gave Simone an idea for her mother's 93rd birthday last month.

She called the Augusta Police Department and explained the situation. They were happy to oblige and arranged to have Officer P. Doody (yes, that's his name) come out and 'arrest' her mom, and put her in the back of a police cruiser.

Then, she got to hang out in the front of the car, ask some questions about the equipment, got to sound the siren, and even got an official Augusta PD 'junior officer' decal!

Simone says a few days later her mother told her:

"You made my life."

Isn't that just about the sweetest story you've ever read?
