Southland Gas Prices Drop to Lowest Amounts Since April

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $3.62, its lowest amount since April 20.

The average price is 2 cents less than a week ago and 4.8 cents lower than one month ago but 61.4 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 47 cents since the start of the year.

The average price has dropped six of the past seven days, decreasing 2 cents, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.556, its lowest amount since April 13. It is 2.4 cents less than one week ago and 5.4 cents lower than one month ago but 57.1 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has risen 44 cents since the start of the year. It has dropped seven consecutive days, decreasing 2.4 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.
