Whittier Police Officer to Be Arraigned on Molestation Charges

WHITTIER (CNS) - A Whittier police officer is set to be arraigned today on charges that he molested two girls in San Bernardino County.

Officer Francisco “Frank” Igros of Rancho Cucamonga, 54, is facing two counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration of a child 10 years old or younger and four counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.

Detectives with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department were notified last week by the Whittier Police Department of a sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl that occurred in Rancho Cucamonga in April, according to a sheriff's department release.

Investigators believe that Igros also victimized another girl, now 15 years old, in Ontario, but did not disclose when the crime took place.

Igros was arrested last Tuesday and remains jailed in lieu of $1 million bail, according to county jail records.

A 41-year-old woman identified as Lora Nagy of Rancho Cucamonga allegedly knew about the sexual abuse but did not report it and was also arrested and charged with child endangerment.

Authorities did not disclose the nature of the relationship, if any, between Igros and Nagy.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and urge anyone with information to call Detective Janna Kovensky at (909) 387-3615.
