LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose by one-tenth of a cent today for the second consecutive day and fourth time in five days.
The average price of $3.644 is four-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 68.5 cents higher than one year ago but 2.3 cents less than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 49.4 cents since the start of the year.
The average price has risen for five consecutive days, increasing seven-tenths of a cent.
The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $3.585, one day after rising two-tenths of a cent. It is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 65.2 cents higher than one year ago but 3.3 cents less then one month ago. It has risen 46.9 cents since the start of the year.
