During a wide-ranging press conference today with British Prime Minister Theresa May, President Trump continued his assault on CNN while backpedaling on a number of previous statements he had made.
Trump denounced CNN as "fake news" as the network's senior White House reporter Jim Acosta attempted to ask a question.
Trump also denounced a published interview that he did with The Sun as "fake news" despite audio clips of the interview being released that prove the interview was very real.
In the interview, Trump is heard criticizing the British PM. The President also said that immigration is destroying the “cultural fabric” of Europe.
May's office later put out a statement disagreeing with Trump's comments and during the press conference, both seemed to want to avoid any sort of mention of his words.
