Man Steals 'MAGA' Hat From Texas Teenager, Throws Drink In His Face

Texas police are searching for a man who was captured on video assaulting and berating a 16-year-old for wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat who was eating with his friends at Whataburger. Richard Hunter recorded the end of the confrontation, and the footage quickly went viral.

In the video, the unidentified man throws a drink in Hunter's face before he walks out of the restaurant holding the teen's hat telling him it will "go great in my f****** fireplace."

Hunter spoke with WOAI following the unprovoked attack.

"I support my President and if you don’t let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off. I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me."

The teenager claimed that his hair was pulled when his hat was ripped off his head and has filed a police report.

According to Fox News, the man was fired from his part-time job at a local bar. The bar, Rumble, explained their reasoning for firing him in a since-deleted Facebook post

We have since terminated this employee, as his actions go against everything that this establishment stands for.

Rumble has, and always will be, a bar that is as inclusive as any establishment could possibly be. THIS BAR IS A SAFE SPACE FOR EVERYONE! No matter your race, creed, ethnicity, sexual identity, and political stance, you are welcomed here!

We do not condone the actions or behavior that were displayed in the cell phone video, and we never will.
