Tired of watching all of that World Cup flopping?
Can't stand one more over dramatic soccer dive?
Want to see someone sustain a real "injury" for once?
Sounds like you should spend some time watching international basketball.
Australia and Philippines faced off yesterday in a FIBA World Cup qualifier outside of Manila in Philippine Arena.
With about 4 minutes left in the third quarter, a rough play led to a shove, which led to a punch, which led to a FULL ON BRAWL!
By the time the dust settled, nine of the Philippine players were ejected from the game, while Australia lost four of their own.
The remaining three Philippine players decided to commit intentional foul after intentional foul until they were down to just one player, ending the game with Australia winning 89-53.
Despite the win, Basketball Australia chief executive Anthony Moore told BBC that he wasn't too excited.
"Basketball Australia deeply regrets the incident in tonight's match between the Boomers and the Philippines in Manila. We are extremely disappointed with what happened and our role in it. This is not the spirit in which sport should be played and certainly not in the spirit in which we aim to play basketball. We apologise to our fans and will await the penalties to be handed down."
On the other side, Manny Pacquiao seemed to be a fan of the fight.
