On Friday June 22, 14 "angels" met with President Trump at a White House event to talk about their heartache as immigration laws are on the forefront of media. The term "angels" refers to families whose loved ones were killed by undocumented immigrants.
“These are the families the media ignores,” Trump stated, later adding, “No major networks sent cameras to their homes.”
Trump stood on the stage in the South Court Auditorium on the White House Complex defending his zero-tolerance immigration policy.
“We cannot allow our country to be overrun by illegal immigrants as the Democrats tell their phony stories of sadness and grief, hoping it will help them in the elections,” Trump tweeted Friday morning.
The "angels" were there to showcase some of the parents who will never see their children again as some undocumented immigrant parents are beginning to get reunited with their children at the border.
One of these "angels" is Don Rosenberg, whose 25-year-old son Drew was killed in a 2010 collision in San Francisco with a Honduran immigrant who had entered the country illegally, but had been granted temporary immigration status.
Don Rosenberg will be on John and Ken today at 4pm to talk about the continuing effort.
