President Trump claims there are only two options on illegal immigration. Trump's administration is facing growing pressure over the forced separation of migrant children from their parents at the border. In a DC speech yesterday, Trump repeated an assertion that Democrats are to blame for supporting "loopholes" in federal laws. He made another pitch for a massive border wall and said the U.S. needs a merit-based immigration system. In earlier remarks at the Capitol, Maryland Democratic Congressman Elijah Cummings accused the administration of creating "child internment camps" at the border. He argued that the U.S. is better than that. Meantime, the President argued that border security is essential and he condemned the flow of illegal drugs into the U.S. He also said America's asylum system has been abused for too long.
