Special Counsel Files Seven-Count Indictment Against Paul Manafort

President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort has been hit with a seven-count superseding indictment by Special counsel Robert Mueller's office.

Mueller filed the indictment Friday afternoon in a Washington D.C. court that accuses the former campaign chairman of obstruction of justice, conspiracy to obstruct justice, false statements and conspiracy to launder money, among other charges.

An associate of Manafort's, Konstantin Kliminik, was also indicted by the special counsel.

The new indictments come following reports that Manafort attempted to influence two witnesses and their testimony to Mueller.

The Special Counsel's office asked a court earlier this week to revoke Manafort's bail conditions based on the attempted witness tampering. Trump's former campaign chairman is currently out on a $10 million bond after he was indicted by Mueller in federal court for an array of allegations.

Manafort has pleaded 'Not Guilty' to the charges levied against him.
