Southland Gas Prices Record Largest Daily Increases Since January

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its largest daily increase since Jan. 29 today, rising 1.7 cents to $3.701.

The average price has increased nine consecutive days, rising 3.9 cents to its highest amount since Aug. 23, 2015, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.1 cents more than one week ago, 12.3 cents higher than one month ago and 69.5 cents greater than one year ago.

The average price has risen 55.1 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price recorded its largest daily increase since Jan. 28 Wednesday, rising 1.7 cents to $3.665, its highest amount since Aug. 22, 2015.

The Orange County average price is 3.7 cents more than one week ago, 12.7 cents higher than one month ago and 67.3 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 54.9 cents since the start of the year.
