Police arrested a Tennessee man, who was nicknamed "Captain Jack Sparrow" after they found him huffing glue at Knoxville's Market Square. When police attempted to detain Sparrow, whose real name is Brian Zielinski, he ran off and told cops to kill him before smashing his head into the sidewalk and kicking officers when they tried to place shackles on his legs.
Police said that as they approached Zielinski he was "talking incoherently and appeared to be under the influence of some type of inhalant." After police managed to get him into custody they found two bottles of super glue along with sunglasses case filled with tiny lightbulbs and a straw. Zielinski admitted to police that the items were used to sniff glue.
He was arrested and charged with "possessing intoxicants for unlawful purposes, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia uses and activities, evading arrest and disordering conduct." His bond was set at $2,750.
This was not Zielinski's first run-in with the law. He earned the nickname "Captain Jack Sparrow" following an arrest in 2017. He was found wandering around Dunlap, Tennessee dressed as a pirate who resembled Johnny Depp's character in the Pirates of the Caribbean.
