Southland Gas Prices Rise for 16th Time in 17 Days

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose a half-cent today to $3.654, its highest amount since Aug. 25, 2015.

The average price has increased 16 of the past 17 days, rising 7.6 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 3.7 cents more than one week ago, 10.4 cents higher than one month ago and 61.9 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 50.4 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose six-tenths of a cent today to $3.614, its highest amount since Aug. 25, 2015.

The Orange County average price has increased 16 of the past 17 days, rising 7.6 cents, including one-tenth of a cent on Thursday.

The Orange County average price is 3 cents more than one week ago, 10.5 cents higher than one month ago and 59.1 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 49.8 cents since the start of the year.
