Prince William and Kate Middleton have revealed the name of their third child who joins his two older siblings, George (4) and Charlotte (2). Kensington Palace announced Friday (April 27) that the new royal baby boy has been named Louis Arthur Charles. Middleton gave birth to the newest member of the Royal Family on Monday (April 23) who weighed in at 8lbs, 7oz.
According to the official Kensington Palace Twitter account, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge."
The newest royal baby arrived just a few weeks before another big Royal event takes place: Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle's wedding at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 9, 2018.
William will be his brother's best man when Harry marries Markle next month. Kensington Palace announced yesterday that Harry asked William to do the honor. It's a replay of the brotherly love the princes displayed seven years ago. Prince Harry was Prince William's best man when William married Middleton in 2011.
