Dog "Cancer" Turns Out to be Teddy Bears

  • The owners of an 8-year-old St. Bernard named Maisy were relieved when her cancer scare ended up being the result of some chewed-up toys.
  • Maisy was undergoing surgery to remove her spleen after being diagnosed with possible cancer.  But the surgeon discovered that the strange mass on her spleen wasn't cancer - it was four chewed-up teddy bears that were lodged in her stomach.
  • Maisy's surgery was a success and she has fully recovered.  She says one of the chewed-up toys was stolen from her brother's chihuahua.
