Residents Escape Apartment Fire In North Hollywood (Video)

Residents at a North Hollywood apartment complex had an early morning wake-up call after neighbors pounded on doors and yelled for people to get up and get out as the fire raged in the two-story complex. 

Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman says 87 firefighters worked for more than a half-hour to knock down the blaze that was reported shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday morning. 

Two people were taken to the hospital after one man suffered burns and a woman with smoke inhalation. 

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and arson investigators are on scene to find the source of the blaze, which appeared to have begun in an abandoned building next door.
