Santa Ana Breaks with OC Trend and Sides with State on Sanctuary

Several Orange County cities have decided to opt out of the Sanctuary Laws imposed by the state but Santa Ana has voted to back the law moving forward. 

“We are following federal law, we are just not going out of our way to use our tax dollars to help the federal government do the job that they’re supposed to do,” Councilman Sal Tinajero said. 

Only four residents spoke about the issue, the chambers were quiet and largely empty. This is a very start contrast when compared to the boisterous meetings held in Los Alamitos and Huntington Beach.
