A sexual abuse complaint is making its way back around to the owner of Small World Academy Preschool, an Agoura Hills daycare center. Investigators have arrested Paul Lopez, 72, after a previous child who attended the school claims he sexually abused her.La County Sheriffs Lieutenant Todd Deed says that Paul Lopez has worked in daycare for nearly 30 years.
"Mr. Lopez first applied for a daycare license back in 1989, so he's been in the business for quite some time."
This complaint is similar to another abuse issue made in 2016, however the owner was never charged.
The daycare cares for children ranging from infants to 12 years old.
"We want to reach out to parents of small children who might have attended the academy. Please talk to your children and find out if there was anything inappropriate or unusual that might have occurred," Deed says.
Investigators are looking to find if any other children may have been abused while under the care of the Small World preschool owner.
NBC Los Angeles reports, Lopez has been arrested and booked by the Malibu/Lost Hills Station last Wednesday. He is now on release after posting a $100,000 bond.
