British photographer, Lara Maiklem, heard that the 'Beast from the East' storm washed up tons of dead sea creatures on the beach near her home so she bundled up her toddler and headed out to see the spectacle.
What she saw she describes as 'sad' and 'biblical'.
"There were thousands upon thousands of starfish, with crabs, sea urchins, fish and sea anenomies mixed in with them," Maiklem told Fox News. "Someone even found a lobster."
The sea creatures including crabs and starfish were ankle deep in some parts of the wash up. Luckily, crabs and lobsters are expected to be able to survive the cold temperatures and should be okay.
