Two People Killed After Shooting At Central Michigan University

Two people were killed after a gunman opened fire inside the dorms at Central Michigan University according to USA Today. Police identified the suspect as 19-year-old James Eric Davis, Jr. He was last seen wearing yellow-colored jeans, a blue hoodie and had a weapon tucked in his belt. Police warned that he is "armed and dangerous."

Police said Davis was taken to the hospital on Thursday night "with a drug-related injury." They said he does not have a criminal record.

The school tweeted that the two victims were not students and the situation appeared to be a "domestic situation."

The university is advising everyone to take shelter as police canvas the campus and surrounding area looking for the shooter. Classes have been canceled for the day.

The shots reportedly came from the fourth floor of the residence hall shortly after 9:00 a.m. local time.
