Wednesdays With Dr. Wendy: Toxic Masculinity & Violence Today

Following the Parkland, Florida school shooting, the questions of gun violence and gun control are at the forefront of everyone's minds again.

However, some people, like comedian Michael Ian Black, are looking beyond those issues.

Black tweeted, "Deeper even than the gun problem is this: boys are broken." 

He went on to explain that tweet by saying, "I think it means that there is something going on with American men that is giving them the permission and space to commit violence.  And one of the main things we focus on correctly is guns and mental health, but I think deeper than that is a problem, a crisis in masculinity."

Responses to Black's comments were, understandably, mixed.

Some supported him and agreed with him.

Others disagreed.
