Garden Grove police have released some of the weirdest footage ever as a man is seen barricading himself inside a police cruiser.
The man in question, Stephen Matthews, needed to be transported to the hospital for further evaluation after already being admitted to a drug and alcohol treatment facility.
He was placed in the back of the cruiser to await the arrival of the ambulance and it was then that Matthews got into the front portion of the vehicle and grabbed an AR-15 rifle.
He refused to listen to commands to put the gun down and at one point he fired the gun, hitting the windshield but thankfully no one was hit.
Matthews was charged with multiple felonies; assault with a firearm on a peace officer, shooting from a motor vehicle, discharging a firearm with gross negligence, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in public and vandalizing property over $400.
