The family of the late actor Bill Paxton is suing the California hospital where he died. The suit is also against the surgeon who performed the actor's heart surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The lawsuit claims hospital officials knew the surgeon was going to use a high-risk and unconventional approach that was unnecessary and that he lacked the experience to perform the surgery. Paxton died just about a year ago from a stroke, eleven days after surgery to replace a heart valve.
