The newest cover girl of the "Sports Illustrated" Swimsuit Issue is a Compton native. Twenty-four-year-old Danielle Herrington is now the third black woman to grace the front of the annual and highly-anticipated issue, following Tyra Banks and Beyonce. 

She posted the cover image on her Instagram, thanking her supporters with a message to young, aspiring models: "dream big, work hard, be respectful, love each other and own it."
