38 Minutes of Horror in Hawaii

Over the weekend, a false emergency alert hit Hawaii about an incoming nuclear missile set to hit the island state.

For 38 minutes, residents and tourists were in a panic over what they thought was an impending death...

Officials at Hawaii's Emergency Management Agency (EMA) say the alert was sent out during a drill after a shift change and an employee made the wrong selection from a drop down menu.

The agency says to prevent another incident in the future, there will be a safe guard where two employees are needed to activate the alert system; one to issue the warning and the other to confirm it.
