13 kids found shackled in CA home, parents arrested

Two parents in Perris California have been arrested after the shocking discovery of their 13 children imprisoned in their home.

Riverside County residents David Allen Turpin and Louisa Anna Turpin are being held on $9 million bail.

The children were found shackled to beds and malnourished, and were only found by police after one of them, a 17 year-old girl, had managed to escape.

Torture is suspected to have been committed on all of the "kids," who in reality ranged in age from 2-29 years old.

Their sickly and underdeveloped appearances appear to corroborate the children's complaints that they were starving, but have been admitted to a local hospital since their discovery.
