Blizzard Conditions Continue To Grip East Coast

The East Coast blizzard continues hurling blinding snow and wind gusts like a category 1 hurricane.  Blizzard warnings stretch from Virginia to Maine today. Millions of Americans are paralyzed by the storm.

Thousands of flights are cancelled and hundreds of schools are closed. Grocery store shelves are empty after shoppers scarfed up what food and supplies they could before the big storm hit.

The chief meteorologist for Western Connecticut State University says some parts of the state could get eight to 14 inches of snow.  Meanwhile, in Massachusetts a winter storm warning remains in effect all day for the western part of the state. Forecasters say to expect reduced visibility and slippery roads.  As the winds pick up today, isolated power outages and downed tree limbs are possible.
