The defense team for real estate heir Robert Durst is regrouping after some bombshell testimony. A retired New York police detective testified Wednesday that he had sex with a witness while investigating the disappearance of Durst's wife in 1982. The detective also admitted to the prosecution that the action was highly unprofessional.
A judge is hearing early testimony ahead of a murder trial in which Durst is accused of killing a friend in her Los Angeles-area home in 2000. Prosecutors believe Durst killed the woman because she knew too much about why his wife vanished.
