Whatcha Watchin Wednesday: Stranger Things Kiss Scene Sparks Outrage

People are freaking out over this.

Like they are going C-R-A-Z-Y.

If you don't know about it, in Stranger Things 2, Max (Sadie Sink) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughilin) kiss at a dance.

Doesn't sound too weird on its face, right?

Well, people are upset about it because of a conversation that went down on the Beyond Stranger Things aftershow.

Sink said, “I get there, the first day of filming the Snowball and walking in I see the decorations and stuff. One of you, I think it was you Ross, you say, ‘Ooh, Sadie, you ready for the kiss?’ I’m like, ‘What! No! That’s not in the script… that’s not happening."

She continued, “So the whole day I was like stressed out, I was like oh my god, wait, am I gonna have to…is it gonna happen, is it not... and it didn’t happen that day, but then the second day of filming the Snowball.”

Ross Duffer then said, "You reacted so strongly to this. I was just joking, And you were so freaked out that I was like well, I gotta make her do it now..."

*Cue the outrage*

And that's just a G-rated example of how upset people got.

Sink, on the other hand, isn't upset at all about the kiss scene.

She said, “I mean, of course I was nervous because it’s a first kiss, right?  But I never objected to [it] or felt pushed into anything.”

She added, "I always felt comfortable and the Duffer Brothers, they do the best job.  And always create a comfortable space. And if I felt uncomfortable with anything, I wouldn’t have done it.”
