Motorcyclist Crushed by Van, Rescued by Mechanic

Fullerton, CA - At about 6:50 AM on Monday morning, a Toyota Sienna and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of Highland and Chapman avenues.  

While the driver of the Sienna suffered no injuries, the motorcyclist fared much worse after he was thrown from his motorcycle and caught underneath the large van.  Fortunately for the motorcyclist, an auto-mechanic happened to be passing by, and was able to lift the weight of the Toyota off of the victim while first-responders were en route.

In all likelihood, the mechanic's quick-thinking and expertise saved the motorcyclist's life.  He was immediately taken to UCI Medical Center in critical condition.
