Los Angeles police have released surveillance video showing a man stealing wallets from women's purses inside a Mid-Wilshire Whole Foods.
The crimes, considered to be grand thefts, happened as the victims backs were turned away and the man just brazenly reaches in and takes their belongings.
Police say the thief targeted women who left their bags unattended in carts.
The suspect is described as being 30-40 years old, black, with black hair and brown eyes.
He appears to be 5'11", weighing 180 pounds and was seen wearing a white shirt, grey pants and black tennis shoes.
