The federal government stands with the people of California in the wake of devastating fires that have burned thousands of acres and destroyed dozens of homes in both northern and southern portions of the state.
"Napa has been hit so hard, and Sonoma. As they deal with the tragic loss of life and property to devastating wildfires," Trump said from the White House today.
Trump said he spoke with California governor Jerry Brown and will take steps to help speed up federal aid to the Golden State.
At least fifteen people are confirmed dead and dozens more remain missing as several fast-moving wildfires rage across the state. Hundreds of homes, including entire neighborhoods in Northern California's Wine Country.
