Bill and Hillary Clinton are not speaking to each other after a heated argument over her recently published book, “What Happened,” according to The Daily Mail.
Bill threw a manuscript of her novel in the trash after Hillary ignored his advice not to publish it, according to the author, Ed Klein. He then took a red pen to the book in an attempt to improve the content, a friend allegedly told Klein.
Bill then saw red himself, when Hillary refused to read any of his notes and suggestions. He also hated the name of the novel, because he believed the title would make people think, “what happened? You lost”.
According to Page Six, a friend of the couple said: “He told her the book made her look bewildered, angry and confused, and that those were poor qualities in a person who aspired to be a world leader”.
He then urged her to postpone the publication date and to rewrite the book. Hillary then yelled, “the book is finished and that’s how it’s going to be published,” leaving Bill “heartsick”.
The source also revealed that the two have been communicating through friends and lawyers since the argument.
The couple hasn’t been seen in public together since August in the Hamptons. Hillary has been on a national tour promoting the book - without her husband.
Bill allegedly “blew up” on Hillary after her defeat, despite a public show of affection during her concession speech in November 2016.
