LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police today went to the USC campus on a report of gunfire, which prompted the university to have students and staff shelter in place, but determined that no shooting had taken place.

Officers went to the main campus about 12:15 p.m. and searched Fertitta Hall, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and the university.
