Californian Marijuana Spending On-Track To Hit Nearly $3-Billion This Year

Recreational sales won't be legal until next year, but Californians are already on-track to spend nearly three-billion-dollars on medical marijuana products in 2017.  Colorado-based BDS Analytics says California's 1,100 legal dispensaries and 2,000 delivery services had about $680,000,000 in second quarter sales alone.

Dried cannabis flowers accounted for 55-percent of the total, with concentrates like oils and waxes commanding 25-percent.  The most popular pot strain is called Blue Dream, followed by Golden Goat, Durban Poison, Gorilla Glue and Green Crack.
