On September 20th, an autopsy report was released that showed the gory details of the killing of a model in West Hollywood back in May 2016.
Iana Kasian, 30, was found dead inside her condominium, Blake Leibel, her 35-year-old boyfriend and father of her child, was arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Leibel was later charged with “one count of murder, mayhem, aggravated mayhem and torture, along with special circumstance allegations of the murder involving torture and mayhem”. These charges combined make him eligible for the death penalty.
According to ABC News, officials say the model was allegedly “tortured and mutilated” before she was killed by Leibel. The report revealed that all of her blood was drained from her body, her scalp was missing, and her skull was completely exposed. Her scalp still hasn’t been located.
The report also mentions that the right side of her face was “torn off” along with her right ear.
According to Los Angeles County sheriff's officials, Leibel was arrested by the LAPD a week before Kasian's death on suspicion of felony rape, and he was out on bail at the time of the murder.
Kasian's mother, Olga, filed a $56 million wrongful death lawsuit against Leibel. She is now the legal guardian of the model’s 1-year-old daughter.
