"Kingsmen" Dethrone "It" At Weekend Box Office

 LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The spy sequel ``Kingsman: The Golden Circle'' bumped an evil clown from atop the North American box office, according to final figures released today.

The film collected $39 million in its opening weekend, according to box- office tracker comScore. That topped the horror flick ``It,'' which collected $29.7 million between Friday and Sunday.

``It,'' based on a Stephen King novel, has earned $266.1 million in its three weeks in theaters.

``The Lego Ninjago Movie'' debuted in third place, earning $20.4 million.

``American Assassin'' took fourth place with $6.3 million, followed by the thriller ``mother!'' with $3.3 million.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were ``Home Again'' ($3.2 million); ``Friend Request'' ($2 million); ``Stronger'' ($1.61 million); ``The Hitman's Bodyguard'' ($1.6 million); and ``Wind River'' ($1.3 million).
