Small plane crash-lands on suburban LA street; no injuries

GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say the pilot and a passenger in a single-engine plane that crash landed on a Glendale street escaped injury.

KABC-TV reports the two University of Redlands students were headed to Burbank when the engine lost power. Passenger Alan Kassis said the pilot looked for a place as the airplane glided toward the ground as he made an emergency landing call to Burbank Airport.

The plane clipped a tree and hit several parked vehicles. Kassis told KABC, "We're a little banged up."

No one on the ground was injured.
