Two Pieology executives brought over a dozen pizzas and met Torrance police officers in private to apologize for an employees vulgar message on an officer's receipt.
“Pieology apologized to our officers and thanked them for their service. They also reaffirmed their support for all first responders by making a generous donation to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Pieology for their efforts and continued support of law enforcement."
The pizza chain took the action after an officer's wife posted a photograph of her husband's lunch receipt with the below message:
The unnamed officer didn't make a fuss, but when the issue became public Pieology fired the employee and expressed support for police.
