L.A. Transit Agency Expands Bike Sharing Program

Metro's bike-sharing system is growing.  It has expanded to Venice, with 15 stations and 165 bicycles added to a network that already includes downtown L.A., Pasadena and San Pedro.  Metro representatives say the agency is considering taking the bike-sharing system to more than 20 other parts of Los Angeles County.

Those areas would include Hollywood, North Hollywood, MacArthur Park, Koreatown, the San Gabriel Valley, Boyle Heights, East L.A., Burbank, Glendale, Culver City and the Palms district.
