Senate Passes Bill On Harvey Aid And Government Funding

Senators are moving quickly on Hurricane Harvey disaster aid and government funding.  The Senate approved a three-pronged bill today that provides more than 15-billion dollars in Harvey assistance while extending government funding for three months.  The government runs out of money September 30th.

The measure also includes a three-month extension on raising the federal debt ceiling.  The House is expected to consider the bill tomorrow.
