Los Angeles Sues Feds Over Grant Fund Blockage

The city of Los Angeles is taking the federal government to court over the issue of withholding crime-fighting grant money.  City Attorney Mike Feuer says he's filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice over the issue.

Feuer says the Trump administration is going against the U.S. Constitution by trying to keep crime-fighting grant funds from cities unless those cities fully cooperate with federal immigration authorities.  President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions have come out against so-called "sanctuary cities" like Los Angeles, saying such cities are harboring criminals who are living in the country illegally.
