The California Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a grey Inifiniti G37 Coupe that caused a violent crash that left a BMW stuck under a big rig on the 10 Freeway in the Colton area earlier this week.
The collision occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the westbound 10 Freeway between Riverside and Pepper Avenue exits according to a Facebook post from Alan Parcero whose mother was driving the BMW at the time.
The dramatic dashcam video captured the moment when the gray 2013-2015 Infiniti cut off the BMW, side-swiping it, causing it to veer and hit another sedan before it crashed into the nearby big rig. The car became trapped underneath the semi's trailer and dragged for a short distance.
The Inifiniti driver fled the scene according to the footage. Parcero said in his post the driver of the Inifiniti did not return after the crash.
The man who captured video of the crash, Jose Rios, can be seen pulling over, and running back to the trapped BMW to try and assist. Rios told KTLA that he spotted the Infiniti weaving in and out of traffic, and driving at a high rate of speed.
Parcero said in his post that his mother suffered minor injuries, including cuts and bruises. The CHP says they found the Infiniti behind the crash, however, they have not been able to locate the driver, but they believe they know who it is.
In his post, Parcero thanked Rios for getting out to help his mother.
Thank you Jose for catching this evidence on your dash cam and pulling over to help aid my mom, I appreciate your kindness. It means a lot to our family.
PLEASE HELP!! . My mom was involved in a hit and run accident yesterday August 9th around 3pm going Westbound on the 10 freeway near the pepper, riverside exit. In the videos below you can see the person in the 2013-2015 infinity g37 coupe driving erratically. This happened in Southern California, in the city of Colton/ Fontana. My mom was Side swiped and pinned under the trailer of a semi truck..
After all of that, the person in the Infinity still had the audacity to leave the scene. Justice will be served and karma will catch up to you guaranteed. Thankfully my mom was able to walk away from the incident with only minor cuts and bruises. Thank you Jose for catching this evidence on your dash cam and pulling over to help aid my mom, I appreciate your kindness. It means a lot to our family.
I need to catch this person, and I'm not giving up until I do. For any information please contact me or your local police station with any information.
If you have any info, please contact with Alan Parcero Facebook page.Truly blessed no lives were lost. Thank you BMW for building a safe car structurally, but the airbags didn't fucking deploy..
