(San Diego, CA) -- The man wanted for the shooting of an off-duty San Diego County sheriff's deputy is still on the run. Dozens of cops swarmed an East County home Wednesday looking for 37-year-old Ray Pitoau. A SWAT team was called in and the home was surrounded for hours.
Officers used flash-bang grenades before storming the home, but they didn't find anyone inside. Since the raid, people have been going in and out of the home, but Pitoau has yet to be seen. Officials say Pitoau pulled a gun on the off-duty deputy after a Metallica concert early Monday morning and shot him three times in the shoulder during a struggle.
