Marion "Suge" Knight has pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles in a new criminal case -- that accuses him of threatening the life of a film director.

Knight, who's been in jail awaiting trial on murder, assault, and robbery charges, was ordered back to court in this case August 10.

According to an indictment Knight allegedly sent an electronic message to Felix Gary Gray in 2014 that threatened to, "commit a crime which would result in death and great bodily injury."

Gray directed the film Straight Outta Compton, and celebrity news website TMZ.com reported Knight was unhappy with the way he was depicted in the movie.

Knight also faces trial on charges he killed one man and injured a second with his pickup truck in the parking lot of a restaurant in Compton in 2015, and a separate trial on charges he and comedian Katt Williams stole a camera from a photographer in 2014.
