(Costa Mesa, CA) -- A ride at the Orange County, California Fair is closed after the deadly accident at the Ohio State Fair. The Orange County ride is called the G Force and it spins riders around in the air similar to the Fire Ball ride in Ohio that broke apart Wednesday.
The SoCal ride had already been inspected in the morning per the fair's usual protocol, but the second inspection was launched last night as a precaution. O.C. officials say they didn't see any signs pointing to a potential problem, but safety is their number-one priority. In Ohio, the ride broke apart, leaving one person dead and seven hurt.
