Anthony Scaramucci Quoted Joe Paterno About Honor

White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci caused a Twitter firestorm after quoting Joe Paterno in a discussion about "honor and dignity".

During a CNN presser, Scaramucci quoted the disgraced former Penn State coach when spoken to by CNN “New Day” anchor Chris Cuomo.

Scaramucci called into the show after his financial disclosure report was published hours earlier which he says was leaked even though it was public information.

“Why don’t you honor the job? Remember Joe Paterno? What would he say? ‘Act like you’ve been there before.’ Act with honor and dignity and respect and hold the confidence of the presidency in his office.”

People on Twitter went off on him, for making a positive reference to the once-beloved football coach who was fired from Penn State in 2011 for his role in a child sexual abuse scandal involving Jerry Sandusky.
