Crews Battle Large Wildfires Across California

California firefighters are still battling more than a dozen large wildfires throughout the state. More than 7,000 firefighters are on the front lines as the state enters peak fire season.

According to fire officials, thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their homes in northern California thanks to the Wall Fire which began on Friday.

The Alamo Fire, currently the state's largest, has already burned nearly 30,000 acres in Santa Barbara County along California's central coast.

A spokesperson for California's Department of Forestry says wildfires across the state have already charred more than twice the acreage as compared to the same time last year.
