"America's Pledge" to Track Climate Progress

California Governor Jerry Brown is continuing his fight to keep the United States on track to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by partnering with fomer New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Brown and Bloomberg have created an initiative called "America's Pledge" which will compile the climate commitments by states, cities, businesses and universities all in one place where it can be tracked and shared.

"America's Pledge" is Brown's latest effort to showcase the country's commitment to fighting climate change despite President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the international Paris climate agreement.

The pair will showcase the data at this year's Framework Convention on Climate Change in Germany for the United Nations where Brown serves as a special adviser to states and region. Bloomberg is a U.N. special envoy for cities and climate change.
