California senate passes single-payer healthcare

Yesterday the California Senate voted to pass Ricardo "Cow Fart" Lara's insane $400 billion plan to implement government-run healthcare.

This passed with no plan to pay for it. How insane is that? What is wrong with these democratic senators?!

Senate Bill 562, from the minds of Sen. Ricardo Lara and Sen. Toni Atkins, passed 23-14 and will now move on the the Assembly.

Once there it will likely be amended to to include taxes, meaning the measure would require a 2/3 vote in both chambers.

Lara said after the vote:

"What we did today was really approve the concept of a single-payer system in California."

The California Nurses Association, the bill's lead sponsor, is pushing single-payer healthcare hard. Why are our leaders caving to this mob? They've lost all common sense!

Republican Sen. Tom Berryhill responded, saying:

“How do we possibly pay for this thing?”

Sen. John Moorlach said he felt like he was in the car with "Thelma and Louise."

Lara admitted that there's no funding plan in place and said:

“The last thing I want to do is to create another financial burden on the state."

Seriously?! Then why are you pushing this crap! This will create a huge financial burden on the state. It's just flat out wrong. Senator Ted Gaines (R-El Dorado), who voted against the bill, joined us this afternoon to discuss this insanity:
